Wall Section Detail

This is a detailed picture of how our foundation, walls and roof are constructed.  The R-Value of our house is as follows:

Walls -- approx. R-30
Roof -- approx. R-50+
Over the Peaks -- approx. R-60+

Expandable foam insulation was applied around all doors, windows and other spots.  Other tight construction methods were used as well.
